Short-Term Effects

Hello all,

I'm sorry not to update my blog for a long time.
I'd like to introduce some effects of drinking coffee.

Dr. J. Murdoch Ritchie (n.d., cited in Just About Coffee, 2007) points out that positive effects of drinking coffee are "a more rapid and clearer flow of thought," and softens "drowsiness and fatigue”. Taking a few cups of coffee increases motor activity, and it helps to work more quickly; therefore, typists can finish their work faster and they can reduce making mistakes, for example. However, if people drink too much strong coffee (about 10 cups a day), they may get angry easily and also they may get a diarrhea, vomiting, fever, or mental confusion (Just About Coffee, 2007).
